		LET US CONTRIBUTE TO THE UPM VETERINARY HOSPITAL WAQF PROJECT Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh and Greetings, YBhg. Dato’/Datin/Prof./Dr./Sir/Madam, With due respect, we refer to the above matter. For your information, the University Veterinary Hospital (UVH), Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), serves as the main facility for the conduct of clinical Teaching and Learning (T&L) activities for Doctor of Veterinary Medicine students, as well as research activities undertaken by postgraduate students and clinical lecturers in support of T&L. It is also the primary premise for providing animal healthcare examination and treatment services. UVH accommodates approximately 150 staff members and nearly 500 students who regularly carry out T&L activities at the facility. This number excludes an average of 50 clients daily, along with animals admitted to the building for health examinations and treatment. The building is now almost 15 years old. Over this period, roof repair works have been carried out periodically according to the damages incurred. However, the deteriorating condition of the roof has resulted in frequent and severe leakages, particularly during heavy rainfall. These leakages have significant implications for the operations and safety of the entire building’s occupants. During heavy leaks, equipment and animal cages housing sick animals must be relocated to very limited alternative spaces. Equipment and furniture are at risk of damage, and the situation also poses health risks to animals undergoing treatment. Therefore, comprehensive repair and upgrading works are urgently required to replace the damaged roofing system. In this regard, we cordially invite all parties to contribute to the University Veterinary Hospital Facilities and Infrastructure Waqf Fund, specifically for the purpose of roof repair and upgrading works.
