		LET’S CONTRIBUTE TO THE UPM KNOWLEDGE WAQF FUND PROJECT We are pleased to inform that Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), through the Centre for Management of Waqf, Zakat and Infaq (WAZAN), is currently implementing the UPM Knowledge Waqf Fund Project to support the development and expansion of knowledge infrastructure and educational facilities on campus. This project aims to establish a sustainable fund to support various educational initiatives, including the enhancement of learning facilities, academic support for students, research activities, development of knowledge modules, as well as the provision of learning spaces and reference materials for the benefit of the entire UPM community and society at large. In line with UPM’s aspiration to strengthen a holistic knowledge ecosystem, this waqf initiative provides an opportunity for all UPM staff, alumni, and the general public to contribute towards the sustainability of education and the development of knowledgeable future generations. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity (sadaqah jariyah), beneficial knowledge, and a righteous child who prays for him.” (Hadith narrated by Muslim) The UPM Knowledge Waqf Fund represents a form of ongoing charity (sadaqah jariyah), with rewards that continue to flow as long as the knowledge benefits students, researchers, and the wider community.
