LET US CONTRIBUTE TO THE INTROP UPM AGRI-INFRASTRUCTURE WAQF PROJECT

We are pleased to inform that the Institute of Tropical Forestry and Forest Products (INTROP), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), in collaboration with the Centre for Management of Waqf, Zakat and Infaq (WAZAN) UPM, is implementing the INTROP UPM Agri-Infrastructure Waqf Project to support the development of sustainable and high-impact agricultural infrastructure.

This project aims to enhance research facilities, advance tropical agricultural technology development, strengthen field-based teaching and learning, and provide more systematic learning spaces for students, researchers, and industry partners. The agri-infrastructure will serve as a reference and training centre in the fields of tropical forestry, agroforestry, bioproducts, and green innovation.

This initiative will benefit not only the INTROP and UPM community but also society at large, government agencies, and industry players involved in sustainable forestry and agriculture.

In this regard, we cordially invite all UPM staff, alumni, and members of the public to contribute to the INTROP UPM Agri-Infrastructure Waqf Fund in support of developing infrastructure that promotes environmental sustainability, knowledge advancement, and long-term benefits for future generations.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:

“When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity (sadaqah jariyah), beneficial knowledge, and a righteous child who prays for him.”

This Agri-Infrastructure Waqf represents a form of ongoing charity that provides long-term benefits through knowledge development, research advancement, and environmental sustainability.
