Your Compassion, Their Hope
By: Dakwah and Marketing Section
SERDANG - In 2025, a total of 15,936 UPM students categorized as asnaf received zakat assistance benefits from the UPM Zakat Trust Fund to continue their studies and lead a more comfortable student life.

The zakat, managed by the Waqf, Zakat and Endowment Management Centre (WAZAN), distributed RM3.7 million to eligible and deserving asnaf at UPM. The assistance channelled included financial aid for living expenses, tuition fees, industrial training, emergency/disaster/immediate needs, medical aid, program assistance (volunteerism/dakwah/academic), and various other forms of welfare to ensure that no student is left behind due to financial constraints.
This is the result of every zakat obligation fulfilled by zakat payers from the UPM community and the surrounding public. It does not merely help to alleviate their burden, but also serves as a ray of hope for those in need.
WAZAN UPM invites the entire UPM community to pay their zakat today, as it is managed with transparency and integrity, continuously serving as the foundation for the welfare and education of students at UPM.
