RAMADHAN, THE MONTH OF ZAKAT

The month of Ramadan is a month full of blessings where in this month Allah SWT gives the opportunity to Muslims to increase their acts of worship. In this month, God will multiply the reward for every person who does good deeds.

There are many good deeds that can be done in the month of Ramadan, one of which is giving zakat.

Allah SWT said:

“Take from their wealth ˹O Prophet˺ charity to purify and bless them and pray for them—surely your prayer is a source of comfort for them. And Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.” (At-Taubah : 103)

“Those who spend their wealth in charity day and night, secretly and openly—their reward is with their Lord, and there will be no fear for them, nor will they grieve.” (al-Baqarah : 274)

Explanation :

Why and how does zakat create blessings? The simple answer is because it is a gift from God. When Allah S.W.T. direct a certain sharia or law to be implemented, there must various wisdom, rewards and goodness. Among the wisdom prescribed by zakat is to obtain a fair and just life.

None of you [truly] believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself.” (Riwayat Al-Bukhari)

By giving alms in the month of Ramadan, a Muslim can already help his brothers’ and sisters’ troubles.

Thanks to that fact is subjective. It cannot be seen with the naked eye but can be felt by those whom He has chosen. For example, a household that is built in peace, the wife respects the husband, the children obey their parents, in addition to the sustenance given by God is always sufficient, then that is a sign of blessing.
