Additionally, waqf safe boxes placed at strategic locations around the campus successfully collected RM177,195.80 (19.8%), while face-to-face collections at physical counters recorded a total of RM99,204.00 (11.1%). Both of these channels remain relevant and effective in encouraging direct contributions, especially during programs and activities that involve direct interaction with the campus community and the general public. Although collections through digital channels are still small compared to other channels, the online payment gateway (Paygate) continued to play a role with a total collection of RM1,458.00 (0.1%), while e-claims contributed RM5,351.10 (0.6%). The profit return for the UPM Knowledge Waqf Fund (Dana Wakaf Ilmu UPM) for 2025 amounted to RM325,391.20.
This overall collection is a positive indicator of public awareness and support for the educational waqf initiatives driven by UPM. The collected funds will continue to be used to support the development of knowledge, the provision of teaching and learning facilities, as well as various welfare and academic initiatives at the university, in line with the objectives of the Knowledge Waqf Fund in building a sustainable, inclusive, and high-impact educational ecosystem.
