1. WAZAN Di Hati Program, "Share Sustenance"

Sharing sustenance with the less fortunate people is one of the most respected attitudes that must be applied to each person. Based on that, the Centre for Management of Waqf, Zakat and Endowment(WAZAN), Universiti Putra Malaysia(UPM) has carried out the WAZAN Di Hati "Share Sustenance" at the Multilingual Hall of Language Competence Development Center (CALC) on 14 December 2017. The objective of the program is to share assistance finance with poor and asnaf students who are currently studying at UPM.

2. WAZAN Intellectual Scholar Program 

At Excel Training & Country Resorts, Semenyih, Selangor from October 6 to 8, 2017 was held the WAZAN Scholar Intellectual Program. The program is organized by the Centre for Management of Waqf, Zakat and Endowment(WAZAN), Universiti Putra Malaysia(UPM) in collaboration with Student Affairs Division (BHEP), Self Development and Academic Section, Counseling Division (BKUPM) and Sahabat Masjid. Additionally, the program targets 80 UPM students from the poor and needy category with a CGPA 3.5 above. The examples of the activities carried out are leadership-oriented, personality inventory, Outdoor activities, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), natural exploration and Qiam.

3. Excellent Student Development Program

The Centre for Management of Waqf, Zakat and Endowment(WAZAN), Universiti Putra Malaysia(UPM) in collaboration with the Student Affairs Division (BHEP), Self Development and Academic Section, Counseling Division (BKUPM) and Sahabat Masjid UPM have implemented the Excellent Student Development Program. Therefore, the program was held at El-Azzhar Camp, Banting, Selangor from 22 to 24 September 2017. This program was conducted to assist the recipient of zakat for the second half of the 2016/2017 session which received CGPA 3.00 and below. Hence, 50 students are targeted to participate in the program. Various activities such as personality inventory, outdoor activities, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), natural exploration and Qiamullail have been implemented. In addition, the program is designed to help students achieve self-esteem and academic excellence through counseling and therapy approaches.

4. WAZAN's Excellency Mission Program at Rumah Penyayang Darul Ilmi

The establishment of the Centre for Management of Waqf, Zakat and Endowment(WAZAN), Universiti Putra Malaysia(UPM) at Serdang, Selangor not only provide light to the students but also to the staff who are less fortunate. In fact, WAZAN has never forgotten the deprived children in terms of affection and financial resources. As such, on 26 March 2017 the WAZAN has been visited the Rumah Penyayang Darul Ilmi which is located in Gombak, Selangor. In that regard, the WAZAN and volunteers have assembled the basic necessities to be donated to the residents of Rumah Penyayang Darul Ilmi through WAZAN's Excellency Mission Program as a sign of concern for other human beings.

5. WAZAN Motivation Program with Asnaf Final Year Students, UPM

On May 9, 2017, the management of Waqf, Zakat and Endowment (WAZAN) of Universiti Putra Malaysia(UPM) conducted a program with final year students. This program aims to provide exposure on career after graduate from the university. In fact, this program can help the final year students to build their self-confidence in communication as well as in critical thinking skills to face a challenging in career world. Therefore, WAZAN is always taking the initiative by conducting a motivational program to help students in UPM to become qualified graduates.

6. National Level Zakat Game Competition 2017

The National Level Zakat Game Competition 2017 was held on November 8, 2017 at Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) Nilai, Negeri Sembilan. The Centre for  Management of Waqf, Zakat and Endowment (WAZAN) of Universiti Putra Malaysia sent four representatives in the competition. In addition, the competition aims to provide exposure on the source of zakat income and zakat distribution. Additionally, this competition is one of the ways for participants gain knowledge about the importance of zakat spending for the development of less fortunate Muslims.

7. WAZAN Mobile Charity Sales During UPM Convocation Carnival

Sales activities through creativity are conducted by the Centre of Management for Waqf, Zakat and Endowment (WAZAN) of Universiti Putra Malaysia by using bicycles. In line with the concept of UPM to make the campus environment as environmentally friendly therefore, November 4, 2017, WAZAN has conducted a charity sales program. This program is carried out using mobile bikes operating around the UPM campus area. The bicycle-based sales are seen as a creativity effort in business and more environment-friendly. In fact, it can expose the students involved to be more creative in running a business.

8. Charity Sales During UPM Convocation Carnival 

The joyous celebration of convocation carnival at Universiti Putra Malaysia beckons cheerful atmosphere around the campus. Therefore, the Management of Waqf, Zakat and Endowment (WAZAN) UPM also participate in celebrating the historic day of graduates by holding charity sales. The purpose of charity sales is to provide exposure on entrepreneurial activities to zakat beneficiaries. In fact, this charity sales program can add students' hands-on skills in flower arrangements and sales techniques to attract customers.
