UPM SERDANG, 12 Sept - The Waqf, Zakat and Endowment Management Center (WAZAN), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) conducted a self-assessment of the Public Sector Conducive Ecosystem (EKSA) practices at the UPM level that took place today.

This assessment was conducted by two assessors, Mrs. Shamriza Shari from UPM's Internal Audit Division (CQA) and Mrs. Siti Noor Fariza from the School of Business and Economics (SPE).

The opening ceremony of the EKSA practice self-assessment was delivered by Mr. Mohd Rizal Helmi A Razak, Head of the Propaganda and Marketing Section who represented the Director of WAZAN UPM and followed up with the evaluation of documents, angles and spaces that were evaluated based on the criteria that had been set.

WAZAN UPM is committed to providing the requirements of this EKSA to ensure that each of the criteria that has been set can be met.

According to Mohd Rizal, WAZAN started the practice of EKSA after the implementation period of the Movement Control Order (MCO) ended in early 2022 where WAZAN operated in a new office during the MCO period.

"We just moved to a new office (next to the UPM Mosque) on October 1, 2020 and at that time the MCO was implemented, and this EKSA practice could not be practiced perfectly", he said during the EKSA opening ceremony this morning.

"This year (after the end of MCO), WAZAN can start actions to ensure that EKSA practices can be fulfilled based on the criteria that have been set", he said.
