SERDANG, Nov 17 - Institute of Aging Research (IPPM) of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) with the Centre for Management of Waqf, Zakat and Endowment (WAZAN) UPM is planning to start the operations of the Day Care Center and Senior Citizen Research at Golf Height Seremban before the beginning of February 2018. The Care Center is named Wakaf Pak Ngah Atan originally a bungalow that was donated (waqf) by Allahyarham Dr. Abdul Rahman, former Dean of Faculty of Engineering, UPM which is better known as Pak Ngah Atan and his wife Dr. Hjh Hasnah Udin, a former lecturer at Faculty of Human Ecology, UPM. A total of RM330,000 of waqf donation are needed to finance the renovation cost of the bungalow where RM100,000 and RM230,000 is for the purchase of equipment and facilities to enable the Care Center to commence its operation. Contribution can be channeled directly into CIMB Islamik (UPM Dana Wakaf Ilmu) Account no: 8602-68-4995, besides of waqf's facilities through an online payment gateway mysadaqah.upm.edu.my which will connect users with major banking institutions such as Maybank, CIMB, Bank Islam, AmBank, RHB Bank and so on. |
