Synopsis of e-BARAKAH

e-BARAKAH is a system where all salary deduction provision for waqf, zakat and donations from UPM staff are processed through one (1) channel to facilitate the monthly salary deduction method implemented by WAZAN. The e-BARAKAH system is fully operated by the Da’wah and Marketing Section created under WAZAN. For UPM staff who have registered their salary deduction scheme through e-BARAKAH, they can use it to register new deduction instructions, amend or increase the current deduction rate.

In addition, this e-BARAKAH system can help WAZAN to collect a database of UPM staff who participate in salary deduction schemes either for the Dana Wakaf Ilmu, Zakat UPM dan UPM Prihatin@WAZAN and so on in a more systematic and secure way. The e-BARAKAH system also provides a facility to review individual contribution deduction information which allows them to access and print their reports and statements directly. Complete contribution deduction information can help them manage tax relief claims and other related matters.

In short, this system can facilitate the administration of all parties whether individual contributors, WAZAN administration and the Bursar in all aspects of the waqf monthly salary deduction scheme, zakat and donations.
