PUTRAJAYA, March 4 - A UPM staff member who has passed away managed to deliver a message to her husband to return the donation received in his name to the UPM Knowledge Endowment Fund.

 

 

The late Associate Prof. Dr Norhafizah who is an academic officer at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FPSK) UPM passed away due to cancer at Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Hospital (HSAAS), UPM on 22 February 2024.

 

Center for Management of Waqf, Zakat and Endowment (WAZAN), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) together with Sahabat Masjid, Registrar's Office, UPM Academic Officers Association (PPAUPM) and the UPM Islamic Center have paid respects and visited the heirs of the late Mr. Nazari Jaafar at their residence in Precinct 8, Putrajaya last Friday as an effort of UPM's responsibility to the deceased who had served at UPM more than 20 years ago.

 

 

According to Nazari, 53, "the deceased has entrusted me to hand over all the donations given in his name to be returned to the UPM Knowledge Endowment Fund", he said during the presentation session of funeral management donations by the UPM Registrar's Office and death charity donations.

 

The heirs have delivered the entrusted donation for the Knowledge Waqf Fund managed by WAZAN UPM. In addition, the donations given by WAZAN UPM and PPAUPM will be used for Ramadan activities which will be managed by Sahabat Masjid UPM.

 

WAZAN UPM was represented by Mr. Mohd Rizal Helmi A Razak, Head of News and Corporate Relations Unit, Mr. Bukryman Sabri, Chairman of Sahabat Masjid UPM, Mrs. Rosna Jasin, Senior Assistant Registrar, Registrar's Office, Dr. Hanny Zurina Hamzah, representative of PPAUPM and representative of Islamic Center / Serdang Masjid Parish, Ustaz Mohd Firdaus Abd Rashid.
