Kuching, Sarawak, August 19 - Director of Center for Management of Waqf, Zakat and Endowment (WAZAN) of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Dr. Razali Othman received the Excellent Public University (UA) Administrator Award 2018, an award created for recognition by administrators in 20 UAs.

Apart from serving more than 10 years, the Award is also given to administrators who have highlighted new findings in management and administration aspects, enhancements that give high impact on departments, universities and countries, and have resulted in accredited creativity and innovation in various rating. Winners of the Award are also selected from amongst administrators who become a consultant to the university.

At the same event, Dr. Razali also received the Special Public University Administrator Association Council (UA) Award 2018 in honoring and recognizing his efforts and commitment to MASTI's activities and programs.

The two awards were presented by Vice-Chancellor, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), YBhg. Prof Datuk Dr Mohamad Kadim Suaidi at the MASTI Gemilang Awards Ceremony (MAGMA) 2018 at the Main Hall, Hotel Waterfront, Kuching, Sarawak.

He said that he was grateful for the victory and thanked UPM Administrator Association for nominating and sponsoring him to enter the award, despite being busy with his responsibilities as WAZAN's Director.

“Kemenangan anugerah ini diharap menjadi pendorong kepada rakan-rakan Pegawai Tadbir di UA yang lain, dan UPM khususnya untuk berusaha gigih dalam setiap apa yang dilakukan termasuk dalam membantu meningkatkan institusi kepentadbiran di universiti. Jika kita bekerja keras, kita boleh melakukan yang terbaik, bukan sahaja untuk diri dan karier kita, tetapi juga untuk semua rakan pentadbir,” katanya.

"The victory of the awards are expected to be a driving force for other Administrative Officers in UA, and UPM in particular to strive hard in every one of what is being done, including helping to improve the university's administrative institutions. If we work hard, we can do our best, not just for ourselves and our careers, but for all our fellow administrators, "he said.
