SERDANG, November 14 - WAZAN in collaboration with Faculty of Computer Science UPM is committed in developing WAQF VOICE applications. The WAQF VOICE application developed using smartphones is expected to help visually impaired students in their studies at UPM.
The final testing of the WAQF PINTAR application with actual visual impaired students was conducted this afternoon to see the effectiveness of their functions. Some improvements will be made based on the students' views. Further discussions with the Persatuan Orang Buta Islam Malaysia will also be made to ensure that the application can be utilized to assist the students with disabilities. WAZAN will also finance the purchase of JAWS software using waqf funds to be placed in the UPM library for use of visually impaired students.
Thus, WAZAN hopes that their little efforts can help students with visual impairment through the development of VOICE WAQF Application. At the same time, WAZAN hopes that the responsibility for empowering wakaf as a source of financing of the ummah can be realized, In Shaa Allah.
